HTML publishing
HTML publishing allows you to preview each Thumbnail's animation and Camera moves, when hovering over Thumbnails through a web browser. Moreover, the HTML export creates both an HTML file and a "files" folder which can be used to insert Thumnbnails in a web page (through a FTP server) or compressed and sent via email.
The HTML tab of the Publish Panel allows you to change several export settings:
Note that this Panel is only available in TVPaint Animation Professional. You can still publish your storyboard to HTML using TVPaint Standard, but you won't be able to customize the export settings listed below.
- Browse: lets you choose the save path of the HTML file.
- Copyright: can be filled with the Storyboard's right holder so it appears on the PDF file.
- URL allows you to include a link to your website in your HTML file.
- The Logo and Show Logo options allow you to load and display a logo on your Storybaord. The logo upload field is inactive if the Show Logo checkbox is not active either.
- Export Animation lets you export the Thumbnails' as animations. Uncheck this option if you want the Thumbnails to be still images.
HTML publishing offers three different Storyboard layouts: Japanese View (rows), Occidental View (columns), Thumbnail View (only the thumbnails). You can change modify those layouts by clicking on the adjacent three-dots-button or even create your own layout by clicking on the Add A New Layout button:
This Panel lets you:
- Give your new layout a Name.
- Choose how your Clip Thumbnails should be laid out (Horizontally or Vertically).
- Choose how Clips should be separated (Separation). You can choose to display 1 Clip per Line, 1 whole Scene per line, Clips with No Separation.
- Set what should be shown on the Storyboard through the Displayed Information menu (Scene-Clip-Duration...).
- Set the Thumbnails' Preview Size.
- Set the Thumbnails' Preview View (mouse cursor not hovering over Thumbnails) and Animation View (mouse cursor hovering over Thumbnails).
- Choose comments to display (Display Comments), such as Action – Dialog – Notes...
Selecting multiple layouts allows you to export your Storyboard for each selected layout in a single export operation.
Finally, click on:
- Publish to create an HTML file and an "files" folder containing the Storyboard's images.
- Publish (email) to create a single compressed file, ready to be sent via email.
