License issues
Here is a list of issues you may encounter when activating or rehosting licenses.
I am using Safari and cannot activate my license or rehost it
Safari is not supported by our activation and rehosting system. Please do download and install another web browser to proceed (we recommend using Firefox or Chrome).
CodeMeter does not seem to be detected when I am trying to activate or rehost my license
In this case, please check and try the following and do no try to proceed with any file-based license activation or rehost (should you see this option appearing):
- Please verify that CodeMeter has been installed on your computer.
- Open CodeMeter and check its status in the bottom-left corner of its window. You should see that "CodeMeter service is running". If you see something else (such as "CodeMeter service has been stopped", please contact our support team via our website's support page).
- Check any web browser add-on that may be blocking CodeMeter and deactivate it. Then, empty your web browser cache and try to activate / rehost your license again.
- Try to download and install another web browser to activate / rehost your license.
- If you have any antivirus or web monitoring program, please whitelist CodeMeter, empty your web browser cache and try to activate / rehost your license once more.
- If the above fails, please contact our our support team via our website's support page).
License status: not completed
Sometimes, the activation or rehost of a license doesn’t successfully complete. In such cases, you may see that your license bears the status ‘Not completed’ when going to your License Admin Page.
This error is often caused by internet connection issues happening during the license’s activation or its rehost. It may also be caused by the License Admin Page being refreshed while the license is being activated or deactivated.
Fortunately, solving this problem is quite easy. You just have to go back to your License Admin Page using the computer you originally tried to activate or deactivate the license on. You should then see a ‘Continue License Transfer’ button:
Simply click on this button to complete the activation or rehosting process. You’ll then be invited to confirm this license transfer operation: click on the ‘Continue License Transfer Now’ button to do so. Your license should then be correctly activated or deactivated.
I am being asked for a Ticket Number when trying to activate my license
In rare cases, you may be redirected to a page asking you for a Ticket Number when trying to activate your license. Ticket numbers are referring to the last 25 characters of your License Admin Page link, for example :
lc.codemeter.com[...]MLE2E-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
Copy and paste the last section of your License Admin Page link in the ticket field like this to proceed. You should then be able to activate your license following the regular activation method.
Stumbling upon the Ticket page means something went wrong when you first tried to access your License Admin Page. Entering your Ticket Number there allows you to start the activation process with the data associated to your License Admin Page cleared up, thus solving the issue that occurred in the first place.
