Delete layers
To delete a layer you can either:
- Click on the Delete icon shortcut, located at the top of the Layer Stack. This shortcut will either delete the current layer or the selected layer(s):

You can use the ["Del"] key: it will delete the current layer or the selected layers.

You can right click on a layer's empty area on the Layer Stack to make a contextual menu appear and then click on Delete (the current layer will be deleted if no layers are selected):

- You can also use the Main Menu's Layer > Delete Layer item to delete the current layer , selected layers or layers sharing the same settings through the Delete All Layers sub-menu. It will allow you to delete all Empty Layers, Inactive Layers or both at the same time. Active and inactive layers will be coverered in the following pages of the manual.

Make sure you are right-clicking on the Layer Stack area and not on the Timeline arranging area (right-clicking on it will give you access to different options). The Layer Stack's area is located on the left section of the Timeline:
