Overview

The Tool Panel can be understood a polymorphic panel whose content changes depending on the Main Panel tool being selected:

  • If the Main Panel selected tool relies on a brush, the Tool Panel will allow you to select one of TVPaint's basic brushes and tweak this brush's settings.
  • If the Main Panel selected tool does not rely on a brush, the Tool Panel will allow you to tweak this tool's settings.

This section of the manual will focus on the Tool Panel's brushes and their settings. Reading about TVPaint's brush engine will be especially useful if you wish to create your own brushes.
