Grid
The Grid Guide acts as a customizable graph paper where the basic unit is the pixel.
The use of a Grid can be very useful to draw parallel lines:
Or a square with round corners:
You can also align text to a vertical line:

The Grid Guide is a little bit different from the previous Guides we have seen. Indeed, a virtual Grid will appear on your Canvas as soon as you select this Guide type from the Add menu:

The Eye, Magnet and Opacity functions have been covered in the previous, Overview section.
The Guidelines panel also allows you to change the Grid's settings:
- The X coord and Y coord fields allow you to change the position of your Grid Guide. The input values can be negative numbers.
- The Width and Height fields can be used to change the width and height of the Grid's squares.
All those settings' values can be changed either by using the dedicated mini-sliders or by entering a number in the dedicated fields.
The Edit function is not available for the Grid Guide. You have to rely on the Guidelines panel's settings to modify the Grid.
The Assist function is not available for the Grid Guide. You have to keep the Magnet option active to draw lines which will follow the Grid's squares.
You can add as many Grid Guides as you wish, and they can be combined to other Guides:
